Privacy Policy for Genetic Testing Services
Last Updated: March 2026
This Privacy Statement explains how genetic testing services offered through Fenix Health Science, LLC (“Fenix,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) are facilitated and how genetic data associated with those services is collected, processed, and protected by GeneMetrics, Inc. (“GeneMetrics”), our laboratory and technology partner.
1. Scope and Provider Relationship
This Privacy Statement applies to individuals who purchase genetic testing kits through Fenix Health Science, LLC (“Fenix”). The genetic testing services, laboratory analysis, and reporting platform are provided and operated by GeneMetrics, Inc. (“GeneMetrics”), Fenix’s technology and laboratory partner.
2. Information Collected and Data Processing
Fenix does not collect, store, or process genetic data. All genetic data collection, storage, and analysis are performed exclusively by GeneMetrics.
Genetic Raw Data
When you submit a testing kit, your biological sample is sent directly to the GeneMetrics laboratory. GeneMetrics processes the sample and generates genetic raw data (“Raw Data”). Genetic data may include, but is not limited to, raw genomic sequencing data, genetic markers, and related analytical outputs generated during testing.
Genetic Reports
GeneMetrics analyzes the Raw Data using its proprietary platform to produce individualized genetic insight reports (“Client Reports”), which may include lifestyle-related genetic indicators and probabilities.
Platform Information
Account information and technical usage data associated with the genetic testing platform are hosted and managed by GeneMetrics through the platform located at:
https://app.fenixhealthscience.com/
Fenix does not maintain independent copies of this information.
3. Fenix Data Access Policy and User Rights
Under the commercial agreement between Fenix and GeneMetrics, Fenix may technically be granted limited access rights to Raw Data and Client Reports for service-related purposes. However, Fenix has adopted the following policy regarding personal genetic data:
No Access Policy
Fenix does not access, review, or retrieve individual users’ genetic Raw Data or personalized Client Reports.
Non-Exercise of Access Rights
Although contractual access rights may exist, Fenix will not exercise any such rights except where required by law or with the End User’s express authorization.
User Ownership and Control
Users retain control over their genetic results. Fenix acts solely as a facilitator of the purchase and distribution of testing kits and does not act as a custodian, processor, or controller of genetic data.
4. Security, Privacy, and Regulatory Compliance
Limited Use of Genetic Information
Your genetic information is used only for the purpose of processing your test and generating your personal results. It is not sold, shared for advertising, or used for unrelated research purposes.
HIPAA and GDPR Standards
Testing and data processing are handled by GeneMetrics, a clinical laboratory partner operating under HIPAA and GDPR privacy and security standards.
Data Protection Measures
GeneMetrics implements reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal and genetic information, including industry-standard encryption, secure data storage, and controlled access protocols. While GeneMetrics employs safeguards designed to protect personal and genetic information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Data Separation and Anonymization
To further reduce privacy risk, GeneMetrics uses data separation practices, meaning personal identifying information is stored separately from genetic data where feasible. Genetic information is also maintained in an anonymized genome database, meaning it is not stored in a manner that directly identifies you.
Results Sharing
Your results are shared only with you, and with your healthcare provider only if you specifically request or authorize that disclosure.
5. Support and Data Inquiries
Because GeneMetrics manages the laboratory analysis, platform infrastructure, and data storage, all technical support, report access requests, and genetic data inquiries must be directed to GeneMetrics through its designated support channels, including email and scheduled video consultations.
6. Regulatory and Informational Disclosures
Genetic Non-Discrimination Notice
Genetic information generated through the GeneMetrics testing process may be subject to protections under the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA) in the United States. GINA generally prohibits health insurers and employers from requesting, requiring, or using genetic information for decisions regarding eligibility, coverage, underwriting, or employment.
Educational Purpose of Reports
Client Reports generated through the GeneMetrics platform are intended for informational and educational purposes only. They provide lifestyle-oriented genetic insights and probabilities based on currently available scientific research. These reports are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease and should not replace professional medical advice. Users should consult a qualified healthcare professional before making medical or health-related decisions.
7. Contact Information
If you have questions about this Privacy Statement or the genetic testing services offered through Fenix Health Science, you may contact:

For questions specifically related to genetic data, report access, or platform functionality, users should contact GeneMetrics support through the testing platform or designated support channels.
8. Third-Party Service Provider Notice
The genetic testing services described in this Privacy Statement rely on the laboratory infrastructure, testing processes, and platform technology operated by GeneMetrics. While Fenix carefully selects its service providers and partners, Fenix does not control GeneMetrics’ systems, infrastructure, or internal data processing operations.
Accordingly, Fenix is not responsible for the independent operational practices, security controls, or data management procedures of GeneMetrics. Any issues relating to genetic data processing, platform functionality, laboratory analysis, or data security within the GeneMetrics system should be directed to GeneMetrics through its designated support channels.
